Antojitos Mexicanos La Placita Reviews

Outdoor seating under a canopy was delightful on a hot day. The carnitas and el pastor were delicious filled with authentic flavor. The grilled jalapeño was a nice addition to my tacos. The guacamole was fresh and creamy. Next time I'm in the area I will be back!

The California burrito is great I would definitely recommend this place. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is great

If you're looking for truly authentic Mexican food, Antojitos Mexicanos La Placita is a must-visit! The flavors are absolutely fantastic, and every dish I've tried has been bursting with freshness and, authentic taste. I had the Mexican-style lengua and the fish taco, and both were exceptional--perfectly seasoned, tender, and flavorful. Service is great, they are polite and fast. Whether you're grabbing takeout or sitting in on the outdoor patio the experience is always satisfying. This spot is a hidden gem for anyone craving Mexican cuisine! Simple, Easy, Good!

Los mejores tacos que me e comido en mi vida.le recomiendo el lugar me encataron .volveria a ir siempre

This is absolutely my #1 go to taco joint. The Al Pastor are my favorite, I get them in flour tortillas and it just hits perfectly.

Nice place. Little window you order from and sit on benches outside. No bathrooms available but plenty parking Nice big menu. Has pupusas on the menu but they didn't understand when I asked them about curtido and they served it in a tiny little rammikan. So I would say the pupusas are not that great. Judging by not knowing proper names. Also only looks like cheese pupusas. I would say these folks are not Salvadorian, but their tacos were actually quite good. Served Mexican style with lots of cilantro. The pastor was amazing! I had pastor, lengua and carne asada of course. Each one was super good but I would order more of the pastor it was made super well. My friend got the gordita and swears by this place and says everyone he grew up with here all say it's one of the best places in the area. Made quite fresh. My friends gordita he ordered with pastor and she did tell us jr would take 16-20 minutes. But it looked amazing. Nice portions and very good overall-I just wouldn't get the pupusas but everything else looks amazing! They even have stuff for your friends and family who hates Mexican. Like cheeseburgers and chicken tenders so everyone can. Enjoy themselves here.

La Placita is in the spot where Lupita's used to be, and I guess I haven't return until very recently. I parked behind the restaurant. Despite a location that sits directly on busy Dixie Highway, the outdoor seating feels pretty private, especially towards the back/parking lot. They have stone tables and seating. The menu is located on a big sign above the ordering window- and it is pretty clear. I did have to make sure that the taco price was for 1 taco only- the answer is yes! Let me preface this by saying that I don't have a sophisticated palette for this cuisine- as in, I usually like most everything! However, I found La Placita's food extra yummy. I was pleased to see pupusas on the menu, though they only have 2 filling options (unlike 'real' pupuserias), but it was still a delicious treat to get to have one next to my 3 veggie tacos. The pupusa came with slaw already on the side next to the pupusa. The veggie tacos had lots of items inside and seemed very fresh. My only complaint would be that the beans were practically nonexistent but what was there seemed watery. But the rest of the filling was robust! I don't like bell peppers but the ones that came inside the tacos were crisp and slightly charred/grilled, which I found impressive. Looking forward to trying out their other food items! There are multiple tvs hanging in the surrounding terrace, most of which has cover over head - so if you are looking for a non-bar-atmosphere to watch the world cup, this just might be worth a try! Reminder to self next time: ask for no bell peppers.

Cute little shack with outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable and service is quick. Tacos are overall decent , could use a little salt.
